Invisible Poet Kings
Invisible Poet Kings is truly an American band. The four members come from different corners of the United States, bringing together a wide variety of musical and artistic influences. The music is produced by founding band member, Barry Keenan and engineer, Matt Forger (Michael Jackson/Quincy Jones}.
Although the members of Invisible Poet Kings will tell you that the music they produce and perform is, “their music”, this band falls squarely into the British pop-rock tradition. Music Connection Magazine once
wrote in a review of a live performance of Keenan and his band…”enough energy to light up a stadium.”
Keenan is also the singer/songwriter of the band. Critics have said that his songs are "thought provoking," and “his finely crafted lyrics, though completely contemporary, remain timeless”. One critic wrote that “Keenan takes the listener into the abyss…then shows them the way out.”
Invisible Poet Kings music is a rich kaleidoscope of inventive pop, driving rock, urban folk and electronic magic, with strong hooks that entertain the listener, and a lyrical content that provides meaning through a wild roller-coaster ride of emotions. The stories and ideas conveyed in the songs touch on contemporary as well as traditional themes, and are a reflection of the classic music we all love.
